- Change the web interface username and password when necessary or periodically
- Ask your exchange administrator to define strong (not easy to guess) registration parameters (password, etc.) for IP subscribers. In Xymphony 140511 and newer Xymphony versions, when a user is added to the sip port, the PBX automatically generates a password when the Registrar-Gatekeeper type is selected as Local, the password cannot be changed, but if the Registrar-Gatekeeper type is selected as No and Local is selected again, a new password is generated.
- Ask your exchange administrator to program the assignment and authorization levels in a way that does not allow anonymous visitors and users to go to external lines.
- The password must be different from the username, as the character set is displayed on the web page when entering the username. Username and password should not be used with the same character set for security reasons.
