SingleNetworkManagementProtocol

SNMP is a protocol that allows different types of devices on the network to be managed by simply communicating over TCP / IP.

In order for the Admin application (NMS-Network Management System) to establish a connection with the PBX, the IP address of the system where the Admin application runs should be entered into the NMS IP address text box on the Ethernet / Basic Ethernet settings page.

The management information base (MIB-Management Information Base) applicable to Xymphony can be downloaded from the MIB download link on the basic ethernet settings page.

You can download the free manager application from MIB Browser.

  • Using MIB Browser

Load the MIB file downloaded from the PBX's Basic Ethernet settings page from Load MIBs

Enter the IP address of the exchange in the Address field. You can change the parameters under Xymphony under MIB Tree. For example, to change the system name of the PBX, point to SysBasic / systemName and select Operations / Set.

In the window that opens, enter the name you want to give to the PBX in the Value text box and press the Ok key.

If the process is successful, the window below will appear.

In this way, you can change the parameters of the exchange via SNMP protocol.
