V52LEProtocol-PSTNMessagesAndBCCProtocolOverview This document is prepared to describe the PSTN mapping supported by the Telesis systems at V5.2 interfaces. The document will guide the service providers and equipment vendors which deploy Telesis systems as LEs in their core networks for the PSTN access provided that a common set of PSTN messages and their flows mentioned in this document are considered. Please note that the PSTN message `SIGNAL` must always be acknowledged by the PSTN message `SIGNAL ACKNOWLEDGE`. In order to improve the readability of the flow diagrams, `SIGNAL ACKNOWLEDGE` messages are dropped. The following flow-diagrams show some PSTN messages and BCC? protocols which are completely independent from each other. PSTN Message and BCC Flows Off hook (A-subscriber) until dial tone On hook (A-subscriber) before receiving dial tone or ESTABLISH ACKNOWLEDGE On hook (A-subscriber) after receiving dial tone Off hook (A-subscriber) without dialling (expiring of dial tone supervision) Pulse dialing Example : sending Digit 3 A-subscriber on hook after dialing (complete or incomplete dialing) Interdigit dial time out A-subscriber on hook after connection A-subscriber: Clear back supervision expires B-subscriber seizure until ringing current Notes: For cadenced ringing, `CLIP parameter` should be unmarked for the V5.2 PSTN user. Cadenced ringing type XX is automatically selected by Telesis if the `PSTN cadence parameter` of the V5.2 interface is set to `Dynamic`. Otherwise, Telesis sends the cadence ringing type of the programmed `PSTN cadence parameter` (a value 00 to 63) B-subscriber answer Notes: MSG: PROTOCOL PARAMETER is sent by Telesis if the `Register Recall reprogram` checkbox is marked. Otherwise, not sent. A-subscriber on hook before B-subscriber answer A-subscriber on hook, B-subscriber on hook within busy tone A-subscriber on hook, B-subscriber still off hook within busy tone and Howler tone AN and LE send Msg: ESTABLISH at the same time (call collision), PSTN messages Notes: In this case, AN HAS THE PRIORITY. For cadenced ringing, `CLIP parameter` should be unmarked for the V5.2 PSTN user. Cadenced ringing type XX is automatically selected by Telesis if the `PSTN cadence parameter` of the V5.2 interface is set to `Dynamic`. Otherwise, Telesis sends the cadence ringing type of the programmed `PSTN cadence parameter` (a value 00 to 63) AN and LE send Msg: ESTABLISH at the same time (call collision), PSTN messages Notes: In this case, TELESIS HAS THE PRIORITY. For cadenced ringing, `CLIP parameter` should be unmarked for the V5.2 PSTN user. Cadenced ringing type XX is automatically selected by Telesis if the `PSTN cadence parameter` of the V5.2 interface is set to `Dynamic`. Otherwise, Telesis sends the cadence ringing type of the programmed `PSTN cadence parameter` (a value 00 to 63) Hook flash signal control Notes: Tdp < T < Ton MSG: PROTOCOL PARAMETER is sent by Telesis if the `Register Recall reprogram` checkbox is marked. Otherwise, not sent. CLIP after initial ringing Notes: Suppression ind.: X is programmable from 0 to 3 with setting the V5.2 interface `Initial ring sup. ind. type` parameter. Cadenced ringing type XX is automatically selected by Telesis if the `PSTN cadence parameter` of the V5.2 interface is set to `Dynamic`. Otherwise, Telesis sends the cadence ringing type of the programmed `PSTN cadence parameter` (a value 00 to 63) |
