XToolsInstallation

  • Copy the zipped file to a folder of the target disk
  • Unzip the file
  • Install Microsoft visual c 2005 redistributables (run vcredist_x86.exe)
  • Run XTools.exe
  • Adjust settings in Telesis IP PBX

Directory Structure before Running Xtools.exe

  • Disk
    • Any folder with any name, where the following files have been unzipped
      • vcredist_x86.exe
      • XTools.exe
      • chartdir50.dll
      • GdiPlus.dll
      • mfc80.dll
      • SCDll.dll

If Microsoft visual c 2005 redistributables have not been installed in the target PC, first run vcredist_x86.exe. After redistributables are installed, you may delete vcredist_x86.exe. Then run XTools.exe.

If Microsoft visual c 2005 redistributables have already been installed in the target PC, directly run XTools.exe

Directory Structure with the first run of XTools.exe

  • Disk
    • Any folder with any name where the following files have been unzipped
      • XTools.exe
      • XTools.mdb (for XTools versions prior to 3.00)
      • XTools.set
      • chartdir50.dll
      • GdiPlus.dll
      • mfc80.dll
      • SCDll.dll
        • Voice records folder (Wav)
        • Myqsl database folder (xtmsdb) - Be aware that XTools version 3.00 (or later) uses Mysql database and this folder is created.

At the first run, XTools creates automatically:

  • XTools.mdb (an empty database for versions prior to 3.00)
  • xtmsdb (Mysql database folder for versions 3.00 and later)
  • XTools.set (a settings file with default settings)
  • Voice records folder (an empty folder for for conversation records)
