XymphonyProgramming-CollectingStatisticsRecords

Gathering statistics records (data) provides information from which the dimensioning, planning, operation, management of licensing, and management of the network are carried out. Records gathered can be used for:

• identifying the traffic patterns and distribution on a route and destination bases,
• determining the amount of traffic in the Telesis system and the network,
• monitoring the continuity and grade of service,
• determining if the installed licenses are sufficient.

By default, statistic record collection is disabled. This disabled status can be recognized without a link to such statistics data in Homepage Status paragraph.

In order to activate the statistics record collection, click on Basic link in Homepage System paragraph.

With this click, Basic System settings page opens.

Select the period of statistics record collection form the Statistic Period pulldown list.

Then, click on OK button in the same page. Now, the enabled status can be recognized with the appearance of TrafficStats link in Homepage Status paragraph.

Depending on the selected period, Telesis system measures the traffic statistics and records these. In order to observe the recorded statistics data, click on TrafficStats link in Homepage Status paragraph. This opens Traffic Statistics page.

It is possible to observe the last 16 (sixteen) time periods in this page.

To see details of statistic data in route number basis, select a period in Time column and click on OK button. This opens a new Traffic Statistics page.
