PX24XrXAUControlUnitReplacementIn the existing CAU autonomous cluster, the following is the procedure to be followed when the processor unit of any AU fails and needs to be replaced. Be Aware Before making the change, pay attention to the following 3 items in order to avoid any mistakes.
1-Make the member number of the AU processor card installed in place of the faulty AU the same as the faulty AU processor by using On/Off and set it to have protection. 2-Disconnect the newly installed AU processor from the network, connect the PC and the AU processor directly with an ethernet cable. Initialize the AU processor with factory settings. Check the Cau ID number of the AU processor with Xtools Discover, confirm that the On/Off switch is set correctly and check the dial tones at the subscribers. 3-Turn off the power switch of the AU processor and start it in Service mode. Scan with Xtools / Explore and when Xtools finds it, double-click to link. 4- Click Remove Firmware and delete the old version of Xymphony. 5- Click Firmware Upload and upload the version of Xymphony the current CAU is using. 6- As described in item 4, select Remove Firmware again, delete the Xymphony version that the current CAU does not use, and upload the Xymphony version that the current CAU uses with Firmware upload as described in item 5. 7- Click on File system Cleanup and press the ok button 8- Restart the AU processor with factory settings, scan with Xtools / Discover and double click to connect when Xtools finds it. 9- Click WebServer and define username and password. 10-Click System / Time and set the date and time of the AU processor. Unmark Internet time server check box to arrange time. 11- Click Ethernet / Basic and set the AU processor's ip address to the same as the failed AU processor's ip address. After setting the IP address, never save the System parameters (SystemPrm / Save) and do not connect to the LAN 12. Upload the Cau De 15.bin file you downloaded before with Cau/Download with Cau/Upload 13- Download the cau member definitions table with Cau/Download. On the page that opens with Cau / Cau Status, click Protocol Restart and press the OK button. 14- Upload the cau member definitions table downloaded to other AU processors and click Restart Protocol on the page that opens with Cau / CauStatus and press the OK button. 15-Be sure that the cau member id of each AU is the same when the Cau member definitions table (CauDef15.bin) is loaded 16- Connect the newly installed AU processor to the network 17- Check that other AUs are online on the Cau Status page that opens by clicking on Cau / Cau Status. |
