Each SDT module has two ethernet interfaces. Each ethernet interface is served by a single high speed digital signal processor, which is capable of providing up to 60 concurrent VoIP calls. 10/100 BaseT ethernet interfaces on the SDT module provide numerous IP Telephony applications and system management solutions. Some of these are:
- Web based system management
- CMDR collection
- System alarm and warning messages collection
- Statistics data collection
- Voice (conversation) records collection
- SIP Session Initiation Protocol support with RFC 3261. Connection between the system and SIP entities.
- xSIP. Connection between the system and xSIP terminals
In each Stillink 3200 system, at least one SDT module is a MUST. This is the main and mandatory SDT module. The main and mandatory SDT module is placed right to the SGS module. In a full capacity Stillink 3200, there are 16 ethernet interfaces.
Ethernet-00 is located on the main and mandatory SDT module. This ethernet interface is used for:
- Web based system management
- CMDR collection
- System alarm and warning messages collection
- Statistics data collection
- Voice (conversation) records collection
- SIP Session Initiation Protocol support with RFC 3261. Connection between the system and SIP entities.
- xSIP. Connection between the system and xSIP terminals
The factory default IP address of the Ethernet-00 is 10.0.0.12
All the other ethernet interfaces 01 to 15 are used for:
- Transmitting and receiving RTP packets
- Voice (conversation) records collection
The factory default IP address of the Ethernet-01 is 10.0.0.13. That of the Ethernet-02 is 10.0.0.14. It goes on such that the factory default IP address of the Ethernet-15 is 10.0.0.27.
Important notes:
- Whenever, the IP address of the Ethernet-00 interface is modified, IP addresses of all the other ethernet interfaces are automatically modified by the Stillink 3200. All modified IP addresses follow the sequence.
- Connect all ethernet interfaces available in a Stillink 3200 to the network.
- After connecting to the integrated web server of the Stillink 3200, information pages within the web server display the available ethernet interfaces with their details. Follow on-line help pages in programming these.
- Always consider the system IP address as that of the Ethernet-00 while using your network and Stillink 3200 peripherals like:
- maintenance connection for web based management
- maintenance connection for collecting CMDR, traffic records with using XTools
- maintenance connection for making signaling analysis with using XTools
- SIP user agents, including external SIP registrars and proxies
First Connection to the Stillink 3200
When the Stillink 3200 system starts up, the factory default IP address of the Ethernet-00 interface on the main and mandatory SDT module is 10.0.0.12. The port address is 80 and there is no login ID or password for web browser connection. Home page for programming and maintenance is xp.asp (like 10.0.0.12/xp.asp)
Connect to your Stillink 3200 with using any web browser (like Internet Explorer, Mozilla Firefox) for maintenance and programming.
